At the current moment, given how Bitcoin is moving, I believe we are on track to hit the 80k level.
However, we must be extremely cautious there. I see a massive cluster of liquidity around that zone, which acts like a magnet but often leads to a "liquidity grab" where many overleveraged traders get liquidated.
Based on the reaction at 80k, we could potentially see a sharp rejection and a short opportunity, but I am not calling that trade yet. It is vital to wait for the data to confirm a reversal.
Why am I waiting?
Negative Funding:
Currently, funding rates are negative, meaning shorts are paying longs to keep their positions open.
This is a classic "powder keg" setup for a short squeeze where the price can rip higher as bears are forced to cover.
Crucial Level: If Bitcoin fails to hold the momentum and drops back below 79096, a short setup becomes very likely as it would signal a failed breakout.
We remain patient and let the market come to us. We don’t jump blindly into a short while the "cannon is loaded" for a squeeze.
This setup is currently good for our existing long positions as we aim for that 80k target.
